Slow Maldives itinerary: two quiet local islands
The Slow Maldives
Two quiet islands and long stays — Thoddoo’s farms, then Dhiffushi’s shallow lagoon. About 7–8 nights.
Thoddoo’s fields of watermelon and papaya, its long southern beach and the turtles on its reef; then Dhiffushi, where the lagoon is shallow enough to swim from the shore and the sandbanks come and go with the tide. Few excursions, and no early starts unless you want them.
- Designed for
- Travellers who would rather unpack once or twice and let the days slow down — swimming, reading, walking the island.

Change it, and good to know

- Both are dry islands; a day at a nearby resort is the usual way to have a drink.
