For the held register — a small island of houses and residences, where the day is drawn by the guest, not the resort.

The Nautilus is the country's quietest grand-luxe address — twenty-six private houses and residences set across a single small island inside the Baa Atoll biosphere. The register is "free will": no fixed mealtimes, no set itineraries, no menu to choose from. Each house holds a private infinity pool, a dedicated House Master (full butler service), and the run of the island's kitchens at any hour. Days are drawn around what the guest wants, not what the schedule allows.
Arrival. 30-minute seaplane from Velana International. We time the transfer to your flight, and confirm it in writing with the rest of the stay.

Villas
3 villa categories at The Nautilus Maldives. Sizes and occupancy are the retreat’s own — enquire about any one directly.
Sand-step, an oval bedroom and a separate living room — a wide deck, a private infinity pool, the house reef a few paces off.
Stilted over the lagoon — an oval bedroom, a glass-floor panel in the living room, a wide sundeck with stairs into the sea.
A larger residence poised over the lagoon — separate living and dining, a powder room and wet bar, an expansive deck with the pool drawn off the sea.
Dining
4 restaurants and bars at The Nautilus Maldives, with menus where the retreat publishes them.
The signature room — European and Mediterranean, drawn around local seafood and tropical produce. An upper-deck lounge for the pre-dinner hour.
An al-fresco grill on the sand — Latin America to North Asia, Japanese, Mexican, Peruvian, the open fire at the centre.
A beachfront all-day room — global flavours in a relaxed beach-house ambience.
The poolside lounge — loungers, cabanas, complimentary gourmet canapés through the day.
Beyond the villa
What The Nautilus Maldives does well, with its own schedules and menus where it publishes them. Open one to read it.
The manta and whale-shark aggregation of the Baa biosphere sits minutes away — held trips through the southwest monsoon, timed by the retreat's own watchers.
No menus, no set mealtimes, no fixed itineraries — the day is drawn by the guest. The rarest luxury in the country is the absence of a schedule.
Every house holds a dedicated House Master — full butler service, packing and unpacking included, the week's shape held in one pair of hands.
Three over-water pavilions working with Maison Caulières and Omorovicza — and, like everything here, on your hour rather than a schedule. The treatment begins when you arrive, whenever that is.
Twenty-six houses mean the island can be held entire — but unusually, it doesn't need to be. An anniversary, a vow, a significant birthday: the free-will register means the occasion takes the island's shape rather than the other way around.
There are no mealtimes. The House Master has already noticed you're up.
The bay, or the biosphere's reefs beyond it — the boat leaves when you do.
Three pavilions over the water — book none of it in advance, all of it on the day.
No menu arrives; a conversation does. Dinner is composed, not chosen.

A modern island, drawn in clean line and quiet colour.
The joy of living, drawn in sand and sea.
