Prices come with our reply, for your dates
Patina sits on the Fari Islands — a small archipelago shared with a working marina, a beach club, and a short list of neighbouring retreats. The architecture is by Marcio Kogan of Studio MK27: low pavilions, raw timber, washed plaster, the mood set by the place rather than the brand on the front gate. Days move from the lagoon to the bookshop, from a long lunch to a private meal on the marina; the register stays restrained throughout. Twelve restaurants, the country’s only proper marina, and a children’s house woven into the architecture rather than hidden at the edge.
Arrival. 45-minute speedboat from Velana International. We time the transfer to your flight, and confirm it in writing with the rest of the stay.

Villas
6 villa categories at Patina Maldives. Sizes and occupancy are the retreat’s own — enquire about any one directly.
Direct sand-step, private plunge, an outdoor shower drawn into the garden. The retreat’s most plentiful category — 35 of them, set along the lagoon line.
Lagoon side, west-facing — the long evening light from a private deck.
Over-water, east-facing — the morning light, the lagoon ladder off the deck.
A second bedroom drawn quietly off the main pavilion, for friends or family.
West-facing two-bedroom on the sand — the long sunset hour, the longer night-cap.
Over-water, with a longer deck and the lagoon ladder right off the pool. The retreat keeps one — book early.
Dining
7 restaurants and bars at Patina Maldives, with menus where the retreat publishes them.
A wood-fired Mediterranean kitchen on the lagoon edge, helmed by chef Gokhan Sahinli. Long lunches, simple plates, the gathering ground at the day’s last light.
A short menu drawn from the island garden and the morning catch — slow-food register, vegetable-led.
Japanese culinary arts intertwined with Scandinavian restraint — the week’s most considered meal. Smart-casual; one evening a week.
Open-fire cooking in a hacienda of embers — Patagonian register, the cuts hand-picked, the wine list short and serious.
Hong Kong convivial — dim sum and avant-garde brews in an unpretentious setting. The dinner half of the all-included plan lives here.
The resort’s all-day venue, overlooking the main beach and pool. A ‘Taste of the Indian Ocean’ concept at dinner — Southern Indian, Sri Lankan, Maldivian. Breakfast through to late.
The marina’s social heart — breakfast through a quiet night-cap. The country’s only proper beach club, shared across the Fari Islands.
Beyond the villa
What Patina Maldives does well, with its own schedules and menus where it publishes them. Open one to read it.
Amarta Skyspace by James Turrell and six island-based works curated by The Artling — the most serious art programme in the country, walked in an hour, lived with all week.
Driven from the Stargazing Pier with biodegradable balls — the retreat's own flyer below sets out the format.
A held sail off the Fari Islands — sunset or daylight, arranged with the marina.
The retreat publishes its excursion week in advance — useful for drawing your days before arrival.
Five double treatment rooms, a watsu pool, a floatation tank and a salt cave — the wellness register read as architecture, like everything else on Fari. Sound healing and poolside DJ sets sit at opposite ends of the same day.
Fari holds occasions the way it holds everything — in clean line. A marina-set dinner, a dune supper, a vow renewal drawn quietly on the sand: tell your correspondent the date and the size of the party, and the retreat composes around it.
Swim the villa line while the water is still glass; coffee arrives as the light hardens.
Turrell's Skyspace first, then the island works — before the sun sits too high to stand with them.
The watsu pool and salt cave on slow days; padel, the catamaran or floating golf on the others.
Twelve kitchens to walk — Aegean one night, Japanese-Nordic the next — and the resident DJ carrying the last hour.
Location
The working surf island of the same atoll — two right-handers and a harbour, an hour's composition away.
A small local island held close to the capital — the country itself, beside the marina's polish.
